Duration: 30 hours (15 lessons x 2 hours)
The purpose of this course is to enable the student to make a smooth transition from an academic environment to a professional work environment. A professional level portfolio will allow the students to solicit employment in the design industry. Students must strive to create compelling images that communicate the client's message with originality. Emphasis in this course will be placed on theoretical and creative approaches to developing a corporate portfolio and self-promotion package.
This course will emphasize the student's individual ability based on a series of specialized projects.
This course directs the student into whichever area of design they choose (corporate, editorial, advertising, direct marketing.) and helps them refine and organize their portfolio. New pieces will be generated to create the portfolio that will give the student the best chance at a position in their desired field.
